When you arrive in Cape Town after your connecting flight from Johannesburg, you will be met and transferred to the 4-star Cape Milner Hotel, where you'll be staying for the following four nights and where, tonight, you will celebrate your first night in Africa with a welcome dinner.

SUNDAY 16 APRIL, 2018
This morning you will have a chance to explore stunning Cape Town with a guided city tour, which will take in South Africa's oldest surviving building, the Castle of Good Hope; Company's Gardens, a park first planted by European settlers in the 1650s; and St George's, the Anglican cathedral once famously led by Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Your next trip will be to see Cape Town's most unforgettable landmark: Table Mountain. Amazingly, the mountain chain that stretches from Signal Hill in the north to Cape Point in the south has the single richest array of flora in the world - in fact, it is home to more species of plants than the entire British Isles! After taking the cable car to the 1,089m summit, you can enjoy a short stroll, soak up the astonishing views of Cape Town and Table Bay below, or go in search of one of the native rock dassies, the small mammals who live there.

After breakfast, you will set off for a day exploring the rest of the beautiful Cape Peninsula, which extends 30 miles south of Cape Town and offers visitors a fantastic combination of deserted beaches, pretty seaside villages and dramatic scenery, before ending up at the famous Cape of Good Hope.
Your journey will include a drive along one of the world's most breathtaking coastal routes,
Chapman's Peak Drive, a visit to the magnificent Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, a chance to have a paddle alongside the charming African penguin colony at Boulders Beach, a trip on the Flying Dutchman Funicular railway, and the chance to explore historic Simon's Town,
where you will enjoy lunch on the water's edge at Bertha's Restaurant.

TUESDAY 18 APRIL, 2018
This morning you will board the ferry for a short sea crossing to Robben Island, home to the infamous prison where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years in captivity.
SPECIAL EXPERIENCE: On Robben Island you will be led on a special guided tour of the prison by one of its former inmates, who will reveal its fascinating history.
This afternoon is free for you to discover Cape Town's many attractions - you might like to visit the shops and restaurants of the historic V&A Waterfront.
Day6Cape Winelands & StellenboschStellenbosch, South Africa
WEDNESDAY 19 APRIL, 2018
Today you will discover the Cape's world-famous wine region. Your first stop will be to enjoy a cheese and wine tasting at Fairview Wine Estate, which was founded in 1693. Then you will visit beautiful, historic Stellenbosch, South Africa's oldest university town, where you will see the Dutch Reformed Church, the town hall, museum andgalleries and shops, plus the famous Oom Samie se Winkel ("Uncle Sammy's Store"), which looks the same today as it did during
the Victorian era.
You will then visit Boschendal Wine Estate, one of the oldest in South Africa and famous for its ancient trees. You will enjoy a picnic lunch served in wicker baskets on Boschendal's spacious lawns before travelling to stay for two nights at the 4-star Devon Valley Hotel.

THURSDAY 20 APRIL, 2018
The charming French Huguenot village of Franschhoek is a must for any visit to the Winelands.
SPECIAL EXPERIENCE: You will start with a tasting at the Franschhoek Cellars Wine Estate, in which the wines are paired with handmade chocolates from the local Huguenot Fine Chocolates boutique. There will also be time to enjoy lunch in one of Franschhoek's restaurants.

FRIDAY 21 APRIL, 2018
You will travel through dramatic Sir Lowry's Pass to the charming fishing village of Hermanus. There will be time for lunch in one of the restaurants that overlooks the harbour and sea wall, and to visit the Whale House Museum, which explains Hermanus's close relationship with one of its favourite annual visitors: the Southern Right Whale.
You will then go for dinner at your peaceful, rural home for the following two nights, the 4-star Blue Gum Country Estate.
Day9Dyer IslandDyer Island, South Africa
SATURDAY 22 APRIL, 2018
This morning you will travel along the spectacular coastline to the fishing village of Gaansbaai to take a boat trip to Dyer Island, which is one of the most richly populated islands for sea birds and seals in South Africa, where thousands of penguins, cormorants, terns and Cape fur seals create an extraordinary sight (and sound!).
SPECIAL EXPERIENCE: After lunch you will enjoy a guided walk in Fernkloof Nature Reserve, home to baboons, mongooses, dassies, hundreds of bird species, thousands of plants and which offers magnificent views of Walker Bay and Maanskynbaai. You will then return to your hotel for tonight's farewell dinner.

After your unforgettable trip discovering all that the South African Cape has to offer, you will be
