As you arrive at Nashville International Airport, you'll be met and taken to your hotel for the next two nights, the Sheraton Grand in Nashville. Today you'll get a unique and personal insight into the life and music of the iconic Johnny Cash during a private performance and Q&A with Johnny and June Carter's son, John Carter Cash**.
EXCLUSIVE EXPERIENCE: John will entertain you with his own original music, as well as a few numbers made famous by his legendary musical family.
You will also spend time exploring the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to see fascinating memorabilia from stars such as Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn and Garth Brooks. Later, you'll enjoy a backstage tour of an American institution: the Grand Ole Opry, the 92-year-old weekly radio show which "made country music famous", followed by a live evening performance at the Grand Ole Opry itself. Today's first highlight is a tour of historic Studio B, where dozens of great artists from Elvis Presley to Dolly Parton have recorded hits and were you will work with a professional sound engineer on a 30-minute, choir-style recording session. You'll also be able to take home your own copy of the recording as a one-of-a-kind souvenir!
Your next stop is the great Southern city of Memphis, where you'll visit the National Civil Rights Museum and see the hotel where Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated.
Tonight, you'll join your fellow readers on Memphis's famous Beale Street for dinner at Itta Bena, a 1920s speakeasy-style restaurant named after the town where blues legend BB King was born. Afterwards, you might like to enjoy drinks and live music at BB King's Blues Club. Your hotel for your two-night stay in Memphis is the Westin Memphis Beale Street.

This morning you'll enjoy an in-depth look at the rich musical history of Memphis with a tour of its legendary Rock 'n' Soul Museum and a visit to Sun Studios, where 'Rocket 88', considered by many to be the first rock 'n' roll single, was recorded in 1951. Next comes one of the must-see highlights of your Deep South adventure: Graceland, the home of the King.

Before you leave magical Memphis, you'll have the chance to explore the history and heritage of the Blues with a visit to the Delta Blues Museum, the oldest music museum in Mississippi.

This morning you'll get a taste of the sweet side of the South with a visit to Houmas House Plantation. Once the largest producer of sugar in the country, this impressive Southern mansion was dubbed 'The Sugar Palace' during its post-Civil War heyday. For lunch, you'll visit the New Orleans School of Cooking where you'll discover the flair of Creole cuisine during a lively cooking demonstration - and get to enjoy the culinary creations! Your evening is free for you to explore New Orleans, one of America's favourite destinations for food-lovers. Your home for the next two nights will be the Hotel Monteleone New Orleans.

Today you'll take an expert guided tour of this unique and atmospheric city, famous for its food, music and infectious lust for life.
